My name is Roslyn Paine. I have worked in the field of geriatric care management for 16 years. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Chicago in 2002. I am currently a member of the Aging Life Care Association.
Geriatric care management is a growing field in healthcare. Many of today's families are juggling the demands of full-time employment, family life and geographic separation from aging family members. Geriatric care managers meet with seniors and their families to arrange and monitor in-home help, do home safety evaluations, evaluate whether a senior should consider placement in an assisted living facility, provide supportive counseling to families and connect seniors with resources in their community.
